What is said

00:00:00 — 'What's the best thing about VidCon for you?' and the start of Hank's VidCon footage montage to music

  • ★★ In the description Hank says one of his favourite yearly things is editing a YouTuber's music with VidCon clips; this year he used Mike Diva's BFD. — 00:00:00 · VidCon

00:00:32 — Montage voices on VidCon; VidCon 2014, the fifth annual VidCon, announced

  • ★ A voice in the montage says this year's VidCon is bigger than every previous VidCon combined. — 00:00:32 · VidCon
  • ★★★ Hank announces VidCon 2014, the fifth annual VidCon, about 230 days away, with tickets on sale now. — 00:00:32 · VidCon

00:01:22 — VidCon 2014 tickets on sale, VidCon's Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook; Hank on VidCon's growth and his pride in it

  • ★ VidCon now has a Tumblr, vidconblr.tumblr.com, and is on Twitter and Facebook to answer questions. — 00:01:22 · VidCon, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook
  • ★★★ Hank says it is crazy how big VidCon has grown, but it still feels like a special time for online communities to come together in the real world, and he is proud of it. (hedged) — 00:01:22 · VidCon

00:01:46 — Thanks and apology to those who can't come; Hank backs Nerdfighteria sponsoring a football team; Emma Approved's first arc done

  • ★ Hank thanks VidCon's supporters and tells those who can't come he is sorry it exists in the real world and so is constrained by space-time. (playful) — 00:01:46 · VidCon
  • ★★★ Hank tells John he thinks Nerdfighteria sponsoring a professional football team is an amazing idea that just feels pretty cool. (hedged) — 00:01:46 · Nerdfighteria
  • ★★ Emma Approved has finished its first story arc, so viewers who want to binge rather than follow in sequence can do so now; a playlist is in the description. — 00:01:46

00:02:12 — John's punishment: a child of the brothers decides and cooks John's dinner and John has to eat it

  • ★★★ Hank sets John's punishment, a mix of suggestions: a child of the brothers decides and cooks John's dinner, short of poisoning him, and John has to eat it. (playful) — 00:02:12 · Punishment

00:02:35 — The 12 Days of Pizzamas: the Pizza John face on many products, pre-order until the 15th

  • ★★★ Hank says they are in the middle of the 12 Days of Pizzamas: instead of last year's limited-edition Pizza John designs, the Pizza John face goes on many different products. — 00:02:35 · Pizza John
  • ★★ The Pizzamas items (hoodie, keychains, pin, mugs, guitar picks, frisbees, fleece blanket, pencils, journals, mouse pads, socks) are on pre-order until the 15th, then never available again. — 00:02:58

00:02:58 — YouTube's new comment system: Hank's two videos on linking Google+ and on how he feels about it

  • ★★ For anyone confused by the new YouTube comments, Hank made two videos, one on adding a Google+ page to a YouTube account, which viewers need to do. — 00:02:58
  • ★★ Hank's second video is about how he feels about YouTube's new comment system: some good, some bad. — 00:03:19

00:03:19 — Subbable launches comments; pumpkin contest moved to a separate poll; thanks to carvers and voters

  • ★★ By coincidence, Subbable has also just launched comments, its own comment system. — 00:03:19
  • ★★★ Hank admits the pumpkin carving contest was unfair, since early posters got far more votes, so all entries are moving into a separate poll. — 00:03:19
  • ★★ Hank asks viewers to vote for their favourite pumpkin now and thanks all the carvers and voters. — 00:03:19
