Is natural better than artificial?

Hank criticizes treating natural as automatically good, from disposable cotton bags (2021) to 'natural cancer treatment', which he says means something unproven, ineffective or harmful (2023). In 2017 he wanted Glen Canyon left natural and Lake Powell enjoyed, both at once. John in 2025 called his medicated freedom from OCD and depression unnatural and said natural is not what humans are going for.
