In April 2010 John secretly asked Nerdfighters to plant seeds, trees or plants on Hank's behalf for his 30th birthday and send photos or videos by 3 May. On Hanko de Mayo John presented Hank with thousands of 'Hank trees and Hank plants', and Hank thanked everyone who helped.
