What is said

The parts of the video and what is said in each (★ — how much it matters to the video).

00:00:00 — Montage of creators and guests at VidCon (Casey Neistat, Alli Speed, Connor Franta, Felicia Day, Kevin Allocca, Franchesca Ramsey, Katie Couric) over Pomplamoose music

  • ★ Felicia Day: In the opening montage Felicia Day says video, to her, is a way to make people feel like they belong. — 00:00:15
  • ★ Franchesca Ramsey: In the montage Franchesca Ramsey says she was not seeing people like her represented in television. — 00:00:21

00:01:44 — VidCon 2016 dates and registration; more stages, space and guests; VidCon has not reflected the explosion of gaming content and Hank wants to fix that; asks for gamer suggestions

  • ★★★ Hank announces VidCon 2016, the seventh annual VidCon, on June 23-25 in Anaheim, with registration open now. — 00:01:44 · VidCon
  • ★★ Because VidCon 2015 went pretty well, Hank says VidCon 2016 will basically repeat last year (2014) with a little more: more stages, more space, more special guests. — 00:01:54 · VidCon
  • ★★ Hank says VidCon's goal has always been to reflect the state of online video, so it has grown as online video has grown. — 00:02:04 · VidCon
  • ★★★ Hank feels VidCon has not been good at reflecting the explosion in gaming content or making it a priority, though streamers and YouTube gamers are huge; he feels bad about that. (hedged) — 00:02:10 · VidCon, YouTube
  • ★★ Hank says he really wants to make gaming a priority at VidCon this year (2015) and has been trying to understand the YouTube gaming and Twitch worlds, which are diverse and huge. — 00:02:26 · VidCon, YouTube
  • ★★ Hank asks viewers to suggest gamers or interesting things in the gaming world for him to check out, in the comments. — 00:02:36

00:02:44 — Same Creator, Community and Industry tracks; signing lottery instead of first-come, first-served lines

  • ★★ Most things stay the same: the Creator, Community and Industry tracks, and signings and photos by a lottery in which attendees rank favourite creators, since first-come, first-served in 2014 turned out kind of bad. — 00:02:44 · VidCon

00:03:06 — Project for Awesome dates: December 11-12

  • ★★ Hank announces the Project for Awesome will be on December 11 and 12, so anyone wanting to make a P4A video should start thinking about it. — 00:03:08 · Project for Awesome

00:03:19 — What Pizzamas is: two weeks of Brotherhood 2.0-style weekday videos from Monday and limited-edition Pizza John shirts; sign-off

  • ★★ Hank explains Pizzamas: as last year (2014), two weeks of Brotherhood 2.0-style videos, one every weekday from Hank or John, starting Monday. — 00:03:22 · Pizzamas, Vlogbrothers, Brotherhood 2.0
  • ★★ Pizzamas also brings limited-edition Pizza John shirts; last year's (2014) cannot be had, and this year's (2015) new designs will be shown when Pizzamas begins on Monday with Hank's video. — 00:03:37 · Pizza John, Pizzamas

In the description and comments

  • ★★ The description corrects the video: VidCon 2016 is June 23-25, not July as the video wrongly showed. — video description · VidCon
