The parts of the video and what is said in each (★ — how much it matters to the video).

00:00:00 — Last video before paternity leave; ten years without a break and worry about disengaging

  • ★★★ Hank says this is his last video before he goes on paternity leave. — 00:00:01 · Hank Green
  • ★ Hank says he wouldn't say he is addicted to work, though he probably should. (playful, hedged) — 00:00:03
  • ★★ Hank says taking a break will be weird: he hasn't taken one from making videos in ten years, starting at 26 and now 36. — 00:00:07 · YouTube
  • ★★ Hank says that, in all honesty, he is a little worried about his ability to disengage. — 00:00:18

00:00:21 — Housekeeping: scheduled videos, the VidCon promo and ticket sales, Pizzamas and its Pizza John designs

  • ★★ Hank says he has made two videos to upload during his leave, one a VidCon promo going up when tickets go on sale in Australia, Amsterdam and the US; US tickets are already on sale. — 00:00:24 · VidCon
  • ★★ Hank says he will be on leave during Pizzamas, whose idea is making more videos than usual, so he made one video and others will cover for him. — 00:00:38 · Pizzamas
  • ★★★ Hank says this year's (2016) Pizzamas designs differ: he asked favourite internet designers for their take on Pizza John, producing a diverse, weird set he is excited to share. — 00:00:51 · Pizzamas, Pizza John

00:01:24 — P4A is coming up; Hank suggests John make the video about it

  • ★★ Hank says the Project for Awesome is coming up and he won't be able to talk about it much before it happens, so viewers should get ready. — 00:01:24 · Project for Awesome

00:01:38 — Hank's social-media break, scheduled pre-tweets, and the ask for tweet ideas

  • ★★ Hank says he will try to disengage from social media and not tweet at all, which will be very hard for him. (hedged) — 00:01:38 · Twitter
  • ★ Hank says others, he thinks mostly Victoria, will tweet as him to announce things like P4A, VidCon or Pizzamas. (hedged) — 00:01:46 · Project for Awesome, VidCon, Pizzamas
  • ★★★ Hank has scheduled #pretweet tweets but can't fill six weeks, so he asks viewers to leave tweet ideas of about 120 characters in the comments, with their Twitter handles. — 00:01:58 · Twitter

00:02:18 — Google sent Hank a Pixel phone; he will give it to the author of his favourite tweet

  • ★★ Hank says Google sent him a Pixel XL phone; an iPhone user who won't upgrade just because he got a free phone, he will give it to the author of his favourite tweet. — 00:02:18 · Google
  • ★ Hank stresses the phone giveaway is not a sponsorship and he does not endorse the phone; viewers should choose any phone except the exploding ones. (playful) — 00:02:55

00:03:03 — Off to paternity leave; sign-off inviting John to visit

In the description and comments
