The Nerdfighter Ning, a site built on Ning where every Nerdfighter could have a profile and post pictures, videos and blogs, opened in January 2008. From February 2009 volunteer Ningmasters ran its sections on three-month terms, and in September 2009 Ningmaster Tom became the senior executive Nerdfighter in charge of it and recruited new Ningmasters, the first one for the wiki among them.
