Vlogbrothers in 2008: the channel after Brotherhood 2.0 (2007)
project history · status: past edition (2008) · last event: rule change (2008-10-08 (said on 2008-10-07, implied))
After Brotherhood 2.0 ended, the Vlogbrothers began 2008 posting less often, at least one video a week, with a new intro and help from the Nerdfighter Ning. The channel passed 15,000 and 20,000 subscribers early in the year and overtook Oprah's subscriber count in September, which earned Nerdfighters the right to punish the brothers with a month of Brotherhood 2.0-style vlogging.
Parts: John asks nerdfighters whether they like the new Vlogbrothers intro (2008) · Hank's (and possibly John's) Stickam video chat for 20,000 subscribers (2008) · Hank asks viewers to comment if they want the brothers to make videos more often (2008) · Hank: post his regular video after the debate videos (October 2008)
