project history · status: last documented in 2011 (looked back on in 2025) · last event: rule change (2011-11-28) · last mentioned: 2025-12-09

URLatron was Hank's service that turned a Tumblr blog into a .com domain in minutes. He launched it in October 2011 for $30 and cut the price to $15 a month later because few people signed up. Years later John called it a good idea, like Linktree before anyone needed one, that came too early.
