The parts of the video and what is said in each (★ — how much it matters to the video).

00:00:00 — The 2,000th video, one day after John's 15th-anniversary video; a snow day cancels Orin's school

  • ★★★ One day after John recorded the Vlogbrothers 15th-anniversary video, Hank, by coincidence, gets to record the channel's 2,000th video. — 00:00:00 · Vlogbrothers, John Green
  • ★★ A massive snowfall cancelled Orin's school, so Hank's plans went out the window and the 2,000th video is a compilation of clips with his voiceover, one of the faster ways to make a video. — 00:00:00 · Orin Green

00:00:27 — Snow-day diary: bagel, shoveling, Junkyard Joust, Jade Legacy, pushing a truck, the P4A date change, the recap video

  • ★ Hank's day began with making Orin a bagel and shoveling the walk before Katherine took over the shoveling. — 00:00:27 · Orin Green, Katherine Green
  • ★★ Hank and Orin play an hour of Junkyard Joust, Orin's favourite pastime: Hot Wheels race down a track and are eliminated if they land on their back or side, under Orin's very specific rules. — 00:00:27 · Orin Green
  • ★ Hank invites viewers to pick which team will win (three will, since Orin dislikes a single winner) by replying to the pinned comment. — 00:00:27 · Orin Green
  • ★★ Hank recommends Junkyard Joust, which they also watched, as an amazing YouTube channel. — 00:00:58 · YouTube
  • ★★ Walking to get Katherine a latte, Hank listened to the climax of Jade Legacy, a really amazing book, and cried while walking. — 00:00:58 · Katherine Green
  • ★★ After helping push a truck out of the snow, Hank says he loves a snowy town where everything slows down and everyone takes care of their stuff and of each other. — 00:01:27
  • ★★★ Because of a scheduling mistake, the Project for Awesome is pushed back to February 25th; Hank apologizes for the inconvenience, saying they found no other fix. — 00:01:56 · Project for Awesome
  • ★★ Hank has uploaded a recap video edited by Maia to Hank's channel, to remember the fun times they had. — 00:01:56 · hankschannel

  • ★★★ Vlogbrothers videos often reach an important point at the end, but often they don't: sometimes life is just about life, doing what you wanted or needed to do that day. — 00:02:26 · Vlogbrothers

“Sometimes life is just about life.”

  • ★★★ 2,000 videos and 15 years of doing things Hank couldn't have imagined because they didn't exist, always thanks to people working together to keep each other honest and push for useful things. — 00:02:26 · Vlogbrothers

00:02:30 — Sometimes life is just about life: 2,000 videos, 15 years, and the people who made it possible

  • ★★ Hank has no idea whether he is halfway through; he has probably made most of the videos he will ever make, but he couldn't have guessed how the last 15 years would go. (hedged) — 00:02:55 · Vlogbrothers
  • ★★ Hank calls it an amazing, weird, fun run that would not have been possible without the community and the people at Complexly, VidCon and DFTBA. — 00:02:55 · Nerdfighteria, Complexly, VidCon, DFTBA Records
  • ★ The Junkyard Joust winners are the white team, the green team and the Batmobiles. — 00:03:24

00:03:25 — Junkyard Joust winners and sign-off

  • ★★ The description concedes more than 2,000 videos have been uploaded, counting all the parts of Truth or Fail, but this is the first time the counter has hit 2,000. — video description · Vlogbrothers
